Violence Prevention programs address the needs of individuals at risk of involvement in violence as either a victim or perpetrator or those who have already been engaged in violence. Recidivism Reduction programs address the needs of those who have had contact with either the juvenile or adult criminal justice systems and are designed to prevent further system involvement through intervention. Restorative Justice programs address the issues of violence and recidivism through the lens of the balanced and restorative justice framework and incorporate the principles of accountability, community protection, competency development and relationship building at the community level.
All JAC grant opportunities are posted by Cook County's Office of the Chief Procurement Officer on their web page.
